The Birth Of Vargas Tile Company
Bob and Martha Vargas opened the doors to Vargas Paint Pot for the first time on June 9, 1961, near the Taos Plaza. With a loan of $700, the couple purchased inventory for their small store, and a business journey was born.

Joining Bob and Martha on their new business adventure were their four children, and all of them would learn how hard work can pay off. Their son Arthur chose a career path in law, and Christine, Patricia, and Viviana chose to take over the tile store.

Today, the three sisters run Vargas Tile Company with the same values their parents taught them growing up:
